The 2010 State-EPA Environmental Innovation Symposium on November 2nd and 3rd will offer plenary speakers and a series of breakout sessions related to the following themes:

  • The Making of a Greener Economy: Emerging Issues and What They Mean for Our Work - This track will focus on green trends and strategies shaping the future of environmental protection and the U.S. economy, and what they mean for the role of environmental regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborating for Co-Benefits: Engaging Partners to Maximize Results - This track will highlight the new ways that government agencies at all levels are working with each other and with non-governmental partners on integrated strategies that achieve multiple results. Participants will learn about novel partnerships, the factors that led to their development, and what is needed to further similarly successful partnerships in the future.
  • From Climate to Classic Programs: New Tools and Strategies - This track will examine new tools and strategies that environmental agencies are employing to address climate change as well as traditional environmental protection challenges.
